Dr. Marvin McGowan

Family Practice Physician

Dr. Marvin McGowan, a Board Eligible Osteopathic Physician and Surgeon, first joined the medical staff of Centerville Clinics in 2006. He is seeing patients at California Doctors Office, a part of the Centerville Clinics network.

Dr. McGowan earned a degree in chemical engineering from the Case Institute of Technology and spent 10 years as a process engineer with HOW Research and with Mobil Chemical Company, where he was later named a senior process engineer.

He returned to Case Western Reserve University to earn a degree in biochemistry and earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. McGowan completed post-doctoral training through The Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and St. Joseph’s Health Center.

Dr. McGowan also has completed post-doctoral training with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, practicing at the Latterman Family Health Center and completing a Family Practice Residency at UPMC McKeesport.

A member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Family Practice, and the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association, Dr. McGowan has received several honors and awards.

He is certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics, Neonatal Advanced Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
